Before working in the not-for-profit industry, Tom worked at creative agencies including Saatchi & Saatchi and BMF. He enjoys creative communications tactics most when they can achieve social impact. This year, Tom was proud to be part of the team that won Most Innovative Campaign and Most Outstanding Fundraising Project, for Trollbait – an innovative approach to digital fundraising.
Sally Biles is the General Manager Planned Giving at Guide Dogs NSW/ACT, a role she has held for the past 10 years. She holds a Bachelor of Law and prior to joining the sector she was a Partner at Lewis Silkin law firm.
At Guide Dogs NSW/ACT she has incredibly doubled the income from Gifts in Wills from approximately $12 to $24 million. In 2024, Sally was recognised with the "Impact through Events " award for her pivotal role in designing an exceptional experience for supporters - "The Guide Dogs Graduation: Sharing the joy of giving". Her leadership and strategic insights continue to drive significant advancements in the organisation's fundraising efforts, demonstrated by the growth achieved over 10 years. This is an attribute of how she and her team have worked diligently to invest in innovation and consistently track performance against their annual key metrics.
Hazel Grunwaldt is a passionate career fundraiser. She is the Head of Philanthropy & Donor Engagement at Camp Quality.
Together with an amazing team from across the organisation she oversaw the reinvention of their appeal program with their Tax Appeal 2023 doubling the income from previous years. In this session Hazel will share how Camp Quality approached their declining Tax Appeal program in 2023 to double the income from the previous year through a coordinated multi-channel approach. Their campaign Childhood. Not cancerhood saw Camp Quality win the award for Fundraising Impact through creativity.
Christine has worked to develop WWF-Australia’s philanthropic giving programs since 2012. She quickly formed an affinity with legacy pledgers and for many years turned her focus to growing the gift in wills program which she now manages. In the last few years her portfolio was expanded to included WWF’s Mid-Level Donor program. She is passionate about three things – nature, people, and the way they change the world through charitable giving.
Jamaica has been the Supporter Stewardship Coordinator at WWF-Australia since 2021, leading the mid-level program and forging strong relationships with donors. Her focus includes organising impactful events across Australia, allowing supporters to witness firsthand the impact of their contributions on wildlife conservation.
