The 29th College of Emergency Nurses New Zealand (CENNZ) conference is being held at Rydges Latimer, Christchurch on Friday 5 November to Saturday 6 November 2021.
Our conference theme is 'Ready to Respond - Kia Mataara', something emergency nurses embody every day. Our aim is to provide delegates the best possible experience, comprising presentations by speakers and posters from throughout Aotearoa / New Zealand and an excellent trade exhibition, showcasing the best clinical products available. Where participants request it, we will provide guided tours of our newly built department with all of its new equipment. This will be on a first come - first served basis as there will be limited capacity. Our theme and aim fits with the CENNZ vision that is to promote excellence in emergency nursing with Aotearoa / New Zealand, through the development of frameworks for clinical practice, education and research.
It has been 12 years since CENNZ nurses have joined together in the Garden City of Christchurch to celebrate our passion for emergency nursing and the return of this meeting to Christchurch is much anticipated. We therefore invite you to participate in this special event. With Professor Brian Dolan OBE as our conference MC and with exciting keynote speakers confirmed we welcome you to join other inspiring emergency nurses, acute care health-workers, and renowned experts for the benefit of all. We will celebrate Emergency Nursing through posters and presentations. By sharing our stories and hearing one-another we can grow stronger together.
The Rydges Latimer is our conference venue, and provides accommodation onsite. Rooms have also been reserved at the BreakFree on Cashel Christchurch. For those wanting exercise each day, both include a fitness centre, plus there is the Avon River and Hagley Park nearby to stretch your legs. Consider extending your stay to enjoy all the city can offer. Check out Things to DO, SEE and STAY in Christchurch.
