Rachel Wilson, Acting Head of Business Bank, Westpac
Rachel has worked for Westpac for 20 years in various roles within Westpac and currently is Acting Head of Business Bank, leading a team of bankers across New Zealand. In this role she oversees all small business customers. She spends her time travelling across New Zealand visiting her team and local customers. She is passionate about helping our small businesses grow and contribute to the New Zealand economy. Rachel considers it a privilege to be able to play a role in supporting small businesses across New Zealand.
Tony Pownall, Co-founder, Cultivate
As a Co-founder of Cultivate, Tony’s focus is on ensuring Cultivate is a ‘great place to work’ and a ‘great company to work with’. He also personally delivers best practice recruitment training and executive search services. Tony has worked in the recruitment sector since 2005, and spent a decade leading high performing teams as GM then Country Manager in NZ and Asia before starting Cultivate, with the goal of challenging some traditional industry norms. Helping businesses to build a sustainable future based on ‘performance through people’ is what drives him in business hours.
In 2023 Cultivate won the SEEK Medium Sized Agency of the Year and was Best Recruiter in 7 of 9 eligible categories in the Sourcr awards.
Lucy MacLean, GM of People, Hortus
Lucy is the General Manager of People, Culture and Communication at Hortus. Hortus is a leader in migrant labour, ethical employment, workforce management and viticulture/horticulture management. Hortus currently employs over 100 permanent staff and a seasonal workforce of over 1300 per year. Lucy is motivated by attracting and retaining great people and nurturing a workplace culture where people can do quality work, be well lead and feel supported.
