About the Institute of Australian Geographers

The Institute of Australian Geographers Incorporated is a professional body representing geographers and promoting the study and application of geography in Australia. Members are geography academics, teachers, and practising geographers from both the public and private spheres, and other interested members of the public.

About your conference organisation

The IAG 2024 Conference is co-hosted by the Institute of Australian Geographers and the University of Adelaide and it is organised by BKA Events.

The Conference Committee consists of representatives of the Institute of Australian Geographers; the Department of Geography, Environment and Population; the Environment Institute and the Institute of Sustainability, Energy and Resources at the University of Adelaide; the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences at Flinders University; the Royal Geographical Society of South Australia; and the Geography Teachers’ Association of South Australia.
