Pig Conference

 
The Australian Pig Veterinarians (APV) is a special interest group of the Australian Veterinary Association (AVA) and focusses on preventative medicine, and promote a holistic view of veterinary science, particularly regarding pigs in their various environments. 
 
Veterinarians that work with pigs make important contributions to society, both locally and globally. They contribute to food safety in pork production, while maintaining pig health and welfare. In addition, pig veterinarians are increasingly involved in training initiatives for pig producers, quality assurance programs, establishing and managing production systems and global disease prevention.
