EMAI Practical pathology day with Professor Eric Burrough 

Wednesday 4th September

With the support of the Elizabeth Macarthur Agricultural Institute (EMAI) and the Australian Animal Pathology Standards Program (AAPSP), the event will start with a two-hour lecture on gross pathology descriptors, the sampling process, and histology slides, along with a range of case studies. This will be followed by a tour of the virology and bacteriology labs before lunch.​​

The day will conclude with a wet lab session with Eric, focusing on weaner pig postmortems to wrap up the day with appropriate practical sampling techniques and gross pathology descriptors.​​

Disposable overalls and boot covers are available, but EMAI requests that we bring gumboots. A shower is available if anyone needs it (please bring your own shower gear and towel).​

Cost: $50 (includes lunch)​
