Research abstracts

The International Sheep Veterinary Congress will take place in North Wollongong, Australia, from 27 - 31 October 2025. The congress theme, 'Healthy Sheep to Feed and Clothe the World,' embodies our commitment to enhancing veterinary care for sheep populations worldwide. The program will feature diverse topics with a focus on improving the production, health, and welfare of sheep, camelids, and goats.
 

The Congress Organising Committee invites abstract submissions for presentations at the congress. We welcome recent research, clinical studies, case series, or individual case reports addressing all aspects of sheep veterinary science.
 


Submitted abstracts will have their authorship blinded and be peer-reviewed by a panel appointed by the AVA. All abstract submissions will be subject to review.  

Submissions close midnight, 31 December 2024.


Authors should ensure that the following criteria are met in their abstract submission:

 

  1. The topic is relevant to veterinary clinical practice and scientifically sound. Please ensure you have read the topic categories before submitting an abstract
  2. The subject matter is original or innovative
  3. The paper must add to the knowledge-base of the discipline
  4. Authors will be notified via email if successful by 15 February 2025

ISVC Conference Poster ABSTRACTS 2025

The Do not touch - International Sheep Veterinary Congress 2025 will hold a 'ISVC Poster Competition' to provide an opportunity for veterinarians and researchers to gain recognition for their research or clinical work, and build their professional profile.

Applications close 31 March 2025. 

Criteria:
 

  1. Posters must focus on research, clinic case reports or case series in veterinary science reflecting cutting edge science or an advancement of knowledge
  2. Posters that have been presented at other conferences (especially international conferences) within the previous three years are encouraged
  3. The committee will respond to you after applications have closed on 31 March 2025
  4. Poster format:  No larger than ‘B0’ 1000mm (W) x 1414mm (H)
  5. Submit entry online collectively known as an Eligible Entry
