Jakob Malmo Bovine Practitioner Award

The Jakob Malmo Bovine Practitioner Award celebrates the exceptional contributions of an ACV member to cattle veterinary practice. This award provides a unique opportunity to recognize an ACV member who has made a significant impact on the profession, industry, and community.

We are seeking nominations for those who embody the true spirit of cattle veterinary practice, whether they are quiet achievers or high-profile leaders. Our focus is on sustainability within Australian cattle veterinary practice and on members who have consistently supported their peers.

For 2025, we've streamlined the nomination process to make it easier and more accessible, with fewer questions to answer. This award is open to ACV members who graduated in 2010 or earlier and have dedicated most of their career to bovine practice. Note that breaks from veterinary practice will not affect the consideration of nominations.

Nominations will be evaluated by the ACV Executive Committee based on the following criteria:

  • Commitment to cattle practice
  • Contributions to the veterinary profession, particularly in rural settings
  • Impact on the Australian cattle industry
  • Other notable achievements relevant to the field

We encourage you to put forward the deserving candidates who exemplify excellence in cattle veterinary practice.
