Rural Practice Scholarship

The ACV Rural Practice Scholarship is designed to support recently graduated cattle veterinarians who are passionate about rural practice. This scholarship provides an opportunity for them to expand their network and advance their careers in bovine practice.

Up to three winners will receive support to attend the 2025 ACV VBG Conference in Newcastle.

Award Inclusions

  • Full registration to attend the 2025 ACV VBG Conference in Newcastle
  • Including meals with the conference delegates, (lunch, morning and afternoon tea)
  • The Gala Dinner
  • 3 nights complimentary shared accommodation in Newcastle. Check-in TBC check-out TBC
  • Travel allowance to attend the conference.

 

Winner Responsibilites

  • Thank the sponsors by both email and in person at the sponsor stand
  • Be present in Newcastle by TBC evening to be presented to sponsor and conference attendees
  • Notify the ACV office by email of their arrival and departure times
  • Agree to have their details passed to the sponsor
  • Plan to stay for the whole conference

 

Winners are responsible for any additional expenses before, during and after the conference.

Nominations open – Wednesday December 4th, 2024 

Nominations close – Friday February 28th, 2025 

Winners notified in early March 2025 

Awards ceremony on Tuesday March 25th, 2025 

 

Other information

Winners may, at their own discretion, supplement the prize by using frequent flyer flights and other avenues on agreement by ACV and the sponsoring company. They should not accept support of any kind from another company to attend the event.

If suitable applicants are not forthcoming, ACV may vary the award as they see fit.
