Overview:
A two-day immersive workshop designed to sharpen your reproductive assessment skills in cattle. With expert presenters, this workshop blends theory with hands-on practice using industry-standard equipment.
Day 1: kicks off at 12pm (AEDT) with a light lunch, followed by:
- Introductions and workshop overview
- Theory sessions covering anatomy, physiology, and equipment
- A preview of Day 2’s practical rotations and group allocations
Day 2: begins at 8am and features three rotating crush stations:
Crush 1: Reproductive tract assessment on heifers
Crush 2: Reproductive tract assessment on cows
Crush 3: Foetal sexing and early pregnancy testing
Each crush includes 6 participants plus an explainer, ensuring personalised guidance. With access to 60+ cattle across various reproductive stages, you'll gain experience in:
- Reproductive tract scoring
- Early and standard pregnancy detection
- Foetal sexing (ideal: 70–90 days gestation)
This workshop is a rare opportunity to build confidence and competence in a supportive, hands-on environment. Places are limited.
