ASAV Student Scholarship Prize

The ASAV student scholarship offers one student member valuable continuing education as well as an opportunity to network with like-minded professionals. It is our way of thanking our student members for their commitment to the veterinary profession.

In return, we ask that each recipient provide a written report of 500 words in relation to the 2024 ASAV Conference for publication in the post conference issue of Companion.

There is one ASAV Student Prize on offer for the 2024 ASAV Conference at Novotel Sunshine Coast, Twin Waters from 12-15 August 2024.  We urge all our ASAV Student members to apply for this scholarship to benefit from an outstanding continuing education program and networking opportunities.

Instructions on nominations and receiving an award

• An eligible applicant may be nominated by another colleague and/or self-nominate.
• Online nominations are open
• Please provide your written submission addressing the above criteria together with your resume and outline in no less than 500 words why you’d benefit from receiving the ASAV Student Scholarship Prize

Award inclusions

The winner will attend the 51st ASAV Annual Conference at Novotel Sunshine Coast, Qld from 17-20 August 2026.

• Full registration for the 2026 ASAV Conference
• Conference registration and meals with the conference delegates (lunch, morning and afternoon teas)
• Welcome & Exhibition Opening Evening – Monday 12 August
• Happy Hour – Tuesday 13 August
• ASAV Recent Graduate Dinner - Tuesday 13 August
• ASAV Awards Gala Dinner – Wednesday 14 August
• Farewell Drinks – Thursday 15 August
• Flights, if required, to and from the conference venue from the winner's nearest capital city.
• Five nights accommodation (In Sunday 11 August / Out Friday 15 August) at the Novotel Sunshine Coast, Twin Waters.
