Children’s Camps (2Cs) run over the Easter school holidays in 2 locations.
Corop runs for 5 days + 4 nights and Anglesea is for 4 days + 3 nights.

ABOUT THE CAMPS

Campers are placed in a cabin ‘family’ — one senior leader, two junior leaders (sometimes a cousin) and up to 8 campers of the same gender. Most activities are done in these cabin groups.

The character and behaviour of the Senior and Junior leaders has a significant influence on the campers in their care and creates a supportive and caring environment.
 
Camps also consists of a ‘Camp Mum’ and ‘Dad’, music and craft leaders, and organisers. Leaders are called by family titles of ‘Aunty’, ‘Uncle’, ‘Mum and Dad’ to help encourage the ‘family atmosphere’ of the camps. Often there is a team of around 30 leaders and approximately 40 campers.

Over the week, the campers engage in activities such as sports, craft, studies, games, banner designing, singing, concerts and more — assisted, encouraged and supervised full-time by the camp leaders.
 

Throughout the camp, leaders take time to encourage and affirm each child in their cabin family — sometimes with hand-written notes, or ‘warm fuzzies’. Campers are encouraged to write similar notes of encouragement for each other throughout the week. These can become great mementos of new friends made and the fun memories they've created together. 
 
All leaders are required to be committed in their faith, be active church participants, hold a current Working With Children Check and have the approval of the Life Camps Australia Committee.
