#SEASummit 2020

Future Proofing The  Places Where We Play

Join other catalysts of change in the sport and sustainability sectors for four summit modules across November, covering how we can {future proof} sustainable sport and learn to {adapt to change}.

Following on from the success of the #SEASummit 2019, the Sports Environment Alliance (SEA) is proud to host our 4th annual #SEASummit in 2020!

This year, the #SEASummit is going virtual!

Despite the challenges 2020 has thrown at us, our sports community has stayed strong and connected, and we have many incredible environmental stories to tell.

We can't wait to share them with you!

Session 1: What does it take to Future Proof {sport}? (5th November, 5:00pm - 6:00pm AEDT)

Session 2: How to be a planet champion: a workshop (12th November, 10:30am - 12:00pm AEDT)

Session 3: How do we play for our planet? (19th November, 5:00pm - 6:00pm AEDT)

Session 4: How to be {sport & planet} resilient: a workshop (26th November, 10:30am - 12:00pm AEDT)

The #SEASummit 2020 will aim to raise awareness of how the sporting industry can limit its impact on the environment and how the changes in our environment are affecting the places and spaces where we play.

We will not only focus on sport within Australasia, but also on the international sporting industry, with a heavy emphasis on how a collective and collaborative approach can lead to change.

The #SEASummit will take place in November 2020, with delegates invited to our annual #SEAChanger Awards and networking drinks, to be held in June 2021 (pending gathering restrictions). Registrations for the #SEAChanger Award Event will open in the next year.

What our past attendees say

"Fantastic to increase my knowledge of current practises and areas of focus within the sports industry. Seeing large and small organisations having a huge impact in creating more sustainable events and operations has given me confidence that similar outcomes can be achieved within my sport and organisation."

"The expertise from across the globe was amazing. Seeing the global collaboration first-hand, made me feel as though there are a lot of people out there that are willing to assist and help us along this journey."

"It was a great change to meet people interested in making a difference in the environment through their sport. I learned a lot about facilities and what they can do."
