This year ASAV will be celebrating our 50th ASAV Annual Conference from Monday 25 to Thursday 28 August in Cairns, the gateway to Australia's Great Barrier Reef located in tropical Far North Queensland.

But that's not all – for our 50th conference celebrations we’ve gone all out with a fantastic mix of topics and species, and we are teaming up with three other special interest groups.

The 4-day extravaganza will see us join forces with the Australian Veterinary Dental Society (AVDS), the Australian Veterinary Conservation Biology group (AVCB) and the Unusual Pet and Avian Veterinarians group (UPAV) and therefore providing ample opportunities to create new connections as well as reunite previous ones.

Endocrine, immunity and dermatology are the focus of the small animal stream with the unusual pet and avian, dental and conservation biology groups joining us, there will be something for everyone.

In addition to our lectures and scientific sessions, the conference will feature masterclasses and workshops held both before and after the main four-day event. A dedicated stream for veterinary nurses ensures there’s something valuable for every member of the team. And of course, our signature social events are back! Join us for the Welcome and Exhibition Opening Night, Happy Hour, the always-popular Recent Graduate Dinner, and the prestigious Awards Gala Dinner.
