We welcome you to the Commonwealth Bank Global Markets Conference, October 2022.
Over five days, you will have the opportunity to network with peers from across the world and engage with and learn from leading market professionals and policy-makers.
The event will be hosted by Commonwealth Bank in Sydney for the first three days, with Queensland Treasury Corporation (QTC) hosting international delegates for the final two days in Brisbane, Queensland.
The conference will consist of seminar style sessions, panel discussions, hospitality events and bespoke experiences at some of Australia's most famous landmarks.
This is an excellent opportunity to discuss fixed income and foreign exchange opportunities with leading economists and market experts.

Once you have booked your travel, please email Jane a copy of your flight itinerary for us to secure your airport transfers to and from your hotel. Transfers will be arranged during the conference dates only.
All foreign nationals, except New Zealand passport holders, require a visa to enter Australia. It is your responsibility to obtain your visa when booking your flights. Eventscape will be collecting all flight details to arrange airport transfers, as well as proof of visa issuance.
We recommend that all travellers have travel insurance to cover their travel period. Please arrange this when you book your flights.
International Terminal
All international flights arrive into Terminal 1 at Sydney airport. Once you have cleared customs and have collected your luggage, please make your way to the arrivals hall. A driver will be waiting for you with a sign displaying Global Markets Conference to transport you to your hotel.
Domestic Terminals
If you are arriving on a domestic connection flight, you will land at Terminal 2 or 3, depending on the airline. Please collect your luggage and look for your driver in the arrivals hall, who will be waiting for you with a sign displaying Global Markets Conference to transport you to your hotel.

Located approximately 11km from the Sydney central business district (CBD), you can expect to arrive at your hotel within 20 to 30 minutes after meeting with your driver. All airport transfers will be arranged for you by Eventscape, our Event Management Company.

DAY ONE - Monday 24 October

Archie Rose Distilling Co. is Australia's most highly awarded distillery. Archie Rose strives to re-define Australia's rich tradition in distilling production of whiskies, gins, vodkas, and rums as well as one-off collaborations, limited releases and spirits.
First enjoy a guided tour and tasting at Archie Rose, followed by dinner at The Three Blue Ducks. Located in a converted warehouse, Three Blue Ducks' true rustic history comes alive in the exposed beams, high ceilings, stripped back walls and concrete floors with a strong emphasis on cooking with smoke and fire.
DAY TWO - Tuesday 25 October
Gala dinner at Watersedge at Campbells Stores
Boasting uncompromised views of Sydney Harbour Bridge, Opera House and Sydney Harbour, Watersedge at Campbell's Stores is located on the harbour front in the historic Rocks area. The gable fronted, three-storey heritage masterpiece underwent a multi-million-dollar remediation and restoration effort in 2018 to convert this historically significant building into an innovative dining and events destination.
The conference is an excellent opportunity to gain a deeper insight into Queensland’s diverse economy and engage with business and government leaders from around the State through seminar style sessions, panels and bespoke experiences.
The event will be hosted in Brisbane, Australia's fastest growing capital city, with $15 billion in infrastructure projects in the pipeline. These projects will support the economy, which is set to expand by 33 per cent to $239 billion by 2041. This is expected to be underpinned by a 31 per cent increase in population over that period.

International delegates attending the Queensland leg of the conference will be booked on a Qantas flight from Sydney to Brisbane on Wednesday 26 October. QTC will book and pay for the one-way flight, as permitted by your organisation. DAY THREE - Wednesday 26 October

With spectacular 180-degree views of the Brisbane River, from the Story Bridge around to the stunning Kangaroo Point Cliffs, you will enjoy some of Queensland’s finest produce and beverages as you watch boats meandering their way around the city’s vibrant river.
DAY FOUR – Thursday 27 October
Sunset cruise and alfresco dinner
Just steps away from your hotel is a private pontoon where you will be met by your skipper for a sunset cruise along the Brisbane River. Enjoy canapes and a refreshing drink as the sun sets over the city. You will then disembark at Kangaroo Point cliffs to enjoy an alfresco dinner at Riverlife, a stunning setting right on the water.
DAY FIVE – Friday 28 October
Special excursion and keynote speech
Set off on a special excursion to The University of Queensland. With beautiful jacaranda trees bursting in full purple bloom, you’ll have the opportunity to visit one of the world’s 50 most impressive environmentally friendly university buildings and learn more about some of the research being undertaken to build better cities and a sustainable future.
While at the University, Mr Jock O’Callaghan, Vice President of the Organising Committee Board for the Brisbane 2032 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and President of Paralympics Australia will provide a keynote address about the plans for the Brisbane 2032 Olympics and the expected economic contribution to Queensland.
After lunch you will attend an afternoon excursion of your choice – a visit to the Lone Pine Koala Sanctuary, or a casual round of golf at one of Brisbane’s iconic public golf courses. You will finish the day with a farewell dinner at Fiume, located on the rooftop of your hotel, where you will enjoy breathtaking views of the city at night.
