Coopers Rural Practice Scholarship

The ACV Coopers Rural Practice Scholarship supports recently graduated cattle veterinarians who exhibit a passion for rural practice, enabling them to enhance their network and further their careers in bovine practice.


The winners (up to a maximum of three) will be supported to attend the 2024 ACV Conference in Albury-Wodonga, 19-20 March 2024.


ACV greatly values the ongoing support of Coopers Animal Health in this project.

Award Inclusions

Full registration to attend the 2024 ACV Conference in Albury-Wodonga, 19-20 March 2024.

  • Conference registration and meals with the conference delegates, (lunch, morning, and afternoon teas)
  • ACV Presidential Birthday Welcome BBQ – Monday 18 March
  • The Next Level Gala – Tuesday 19 March

3 nights complimentary shared accommodation in Albury-Wodonga.

Check-in 17 March and check-out 20 March.

Travel allowance to attend the conference.

 

Award Eligibility

The ACV Coopers Rural Practice Scholarship is open to cattle veterinarians who are:

  • Recent veterinary graduates (since 2014)
  • Current and continuing members of ACV (in 2023-24)
  • Working in cattle practice in Australia at the time of the conference

Winner Responsibilites

  • Thank the sponsors by both email and in person at the sponsor stand
  • Be present in Wodonga by Sunday evening to be presented to sponsor and conference attendees
  • Notify the ACV office by email of their arrival and departure times
  • Agree to have their details passed to the sponsor
  • Plan to stay for the whole conference
  • Winners are responsible for any additional expenses before, during and after the conference.

Applicants must complete the application form in it's entirety and agree to the declaration to be considered

Non-members can join before Sunday 21 January 2024 to be considered

Winners will be notified by the ACV Office via your nominated email address once the ACV Executive Committee have selected the successful candidates.

Other information

Winners may, at their own discretion, supplement the prize by using frequent flyer flights and other avenues on agreement by ACV and the sponsoring company. They should not accept support of any kind from another company to attend the event.

If suitable applicants are not forthcoming, ACV may vary the award as they see fit.
