The Jakob Malmo Bovine Practitioner Award recognises the outstanding achievements of an ACV member in cattle veterinary practice. This is an opportunity to nominate an ACV member who has had a significant impact on the profession, industry, and community.
We are looking for the ‘salt of the earth’ cattle vets, the quiet achievers, as well as the high-profile members. The focus is on sustainability of Australian cattle veterinary practice and those members who have offered ongoing support to their peers.
In 2024, the nomination process for Jakob Malmo Bovine Practitioner Award has been simplified and the number of questions reduced. This award is available to ACV members who graduated in 2009 or earlier, and who have worked in bovine practice for most of that time. Breaks from veterinary practice will not discount nominations from being considered.
Nominations will be judged by ACV Executive Committee against the following criteria:
Full registration to attend the 2024 ACV Conference in Albury-Wodonga,19-20 March 2024.
Three nights complimentary accommodation in Wodonga.
Check-in 18 March and check-out 21 March 2024.
Awarded with an individual trophy to retain and their name engraved on the perpetual trophy which is housed at the ACV office.
ACV Members are invited to nominate an exceptional ACV member.
The winner will be notified by the ACV Office as soon as practical after judging is completed.
The judges’ decision is final, and no correspondence or discussion will be entered into.
The ACV Conference will be held on Wiradjuri country.
We respectfully acknowledge the Wiradjuri people as the traditional custodians of the Wodonga region and recognise the continuation of culture, and connection to lands, water and country.
We pay our respects to leaders past and present.
