This workshop will empower attendees with clear tools they can apply immediately to practice. We will provide frameworks, guidance and recommendations about how to approach the patient with chronic pain from a whole of patient and client perspective. Strong focus on contextualised care and improving client retention. We will provide guidance and pharmacology, exercise/physical therapy, pain/health-related QoL tools to use; frameworks for client communication/conversations; real-case example and discussion plus much more.

About Our Workshop Presenter 


 

Dr Benedetta Crivellari is an American and European board-certified specialist in Anesthesia and Analgesia. Her career has taken her from Italy to France, the United Kingdom, and Western Australia, where she completed a rigorous residency program and earned a Master’s Degree in Veterinary Clinical Studies at Murdoch University. Throughout her career, Dr Crivellari has developed a strong proficiency in managing complex anaesthetic cases in veterinary patients across a wide variety of species, domestic and zoo animals.

Currently an integral member of the Anesthesia and Analgesia department at Southpaws, Benedetta excels in dynamic work environments that promote collaborative care. She is especially dedicated to enhancing pain management and patient outcomes through a patient-centred, multimodal, and holistic approach for surgical patients and those experiencing chronic pain conditions that impact their quality of life.

Dr Crivellari is passionate about clinical teaching and regularly mentors the next generation of veterinary professionals. She has contributed to veterinary education through lectures, workshops, and hands-on training and remains actively involved in ongoing research to advance the field of veterinary anaesthesia and analgesia.

The VBG Insight Tours offer a full-day, immersive learning experience through a hop-on, hop-off bus tour visiting three diverse veterinary practices. Each practice showcases practical, real-world approaches to improving business operations and workplace culture, aligned with the principles of the Great Veterinary Workplace Policy. The day combines site visits, guided discussions, and peer learning to inspire meaningful improvements in participants’ own practices.

The tour runs over a full day and includes travel between practices via a shared bus, with facilitated discussions during transit and refreshment breaks. The interactive format encourages collaboration, idea-sharing, and networking, providing attendees with practical takeaways they can implement immediately in their own practices.
