Strong focus on contextualised care and improving client retention. We will provide guidance and pharmacology, exercise/physical therapy, pain/health-related QoL tools to use; frameworks for client communication/conversations; real-case example and discussion plus much more.

Dr Benedetta “Benz” Crivellari is a veterinary anaesthesiologist and pain specialist based in
Melbourne, working at Southpaws Specialty & Emergency Veterinary Hospital, where she cofounded The Pain Clinic.
Prior to settling in Victoria, her career has taken her from Italy to France, the United Kingdom, and Western Australia, shaping her broad and adaptable approach to clinical practice. In these settings, Dr Benz developed expertise in managing complex anaesthetic cases in a broad range of species, from companion and farm animals to exotic zoo animals. It is these diverse systems and cultures that reinforced her emphasis on clear communication and emotional intelligence, principles which underpin her clinical work as well as her approach to teaching, mentoring, and client care. Dr Leon Warne
BSc(Biol), BBiomedSc(Hons1), BSc, BVMS, MVS, MANZCVS (Anaesthesia), DACVAA, PhD, Founding Fellow ACVAA-PM
Leon holds qualifications and expertise across a diverse range of fields including biological, veterinary and medical sciences, higher education, pain research, anaesthesia, pharmaceutical research and development.
He graduated as a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine from Murdoch University (Western Australia) in 2009. Following graduation, he undertook an internship in anaesthesia, emergency and critical care medicine. Leon joined the Melbourne Veterinary School’s anaesthesia and analgesia section at the University of Melbourne in 2010 where he completed a specialty training program in anaesthesia and pain management, a clinical master's degree in anaesthesia as well as a PhD in pain-management and assessment. The VBG Insight Tours offer a full-day, immersive learning experience through a hop-on, hop-off bus tour visiting three diverse veterinary practices. Each practice showcases practical, real-world approaches to improving business operations and workplace culture, aligned with the principles of the Great Veterinary Workplace Policy. The day combines site visits, guided discussions, and peer learning to inspire meaningful improvements in participants’ own practices.
The tour runs over a full day and includes travel between practices via a shared bus, with facilitated discussions during transit and refreshment breaks. The interactive format encourages collaboration, idea-sharing, and networking, providing attendees with practical takeaways they can implement immediately in their own practices.
