2027 Research Abstracts and Poster Competition

The 2027 AVA Conference will include the AVA Poster Competition, offering veterinarians, researchers and students the opportunity to showcase their research or clinical work, gain professional recognition, and be eligible for a prize.

Research Poster Abstracts will be considered for four awards:

- Young Researcher Prize (student or graduate less than 3 years): $500

- Best overall poster:

• First Prize: $600
• Second Prize: $250
• Third Prize: $150

Submissions will open on Monday 1 February 2027 and close at midnight (AEST) on Monday 19 April 2027.

Judging will take place on Tuesday 18 May 2027, 1:00pm-2:00pm, with the winners being announced prior to the Plenary on Wednesday 19 May 2027 at 12:00pm.

Posters must focus on research, clinical case reports or case series in veterinary science that reflect cutting edge science or an advancement of knowledge.

At least one author must be an AVA member.

Posters previously presented at other conferences (including international conferences) within the past three years are welcome.

The committee will notify applicants after submissions close.

Poster format: Maximum size B0 – 1000 mm (W) × 1414 mm (H)
